Charles Robert Redford Jr. (18 augustus 1937) is een beroemd Amerikaans acteur, beroemd om zijn rollen in onder andere Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All the President’s Men, The Sting, en The Great Gatsby. Naast zijn werk voor de camera is hij ook regisseur van onder andere Quiz Show, The Milagro Beanfield War. Redford startte ook het Sundance Film Festival, dat hij noemde naar zijn rol in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Het festival is bedoeld om onafhankelijke filmmakers in de Verenigde Staten een kans te geven.

De eerste film die hij regisseerde, Ordinary People (1981), won de Oscar voor Beste Regie, zijn film Quiz Show werd in 1994 genomineerd voor de prijs, maar verloor het van Forrest Gump.

Hij is ook de eigenaar van een restaurant, Zoom, in Park City, Utah, en een vakantie ski park, Sundance Resort.
