  • Biography

Teun Hocks is the main character in his own work. His past as a performance artist is instantly recognisable in his photographs. By painting over photographs he gains a surrealist approach to photography. He uses several components which in itself are mundane, to combine them into a bizarre situation. These often comical situations invite his audience to make up the story themself. What happened before this? What will happen afterward?
